Join us to shape Oklahoma policy for children

November 2nd

 Oklahoma State Capitol

The KIDS COUNT Fall Forum is the annual conference utilized by the Oklahoma Institute for Child Advocacy to help shape their legislative agenda.  This gathering assembles some of the brightest minds in child advocacy from around the state to share expertise and brainstorm for better solutions, laws and policies to help the children of Oklahoma.

Morning workshops will discuss various issues facing the children of our state, and afternoon committees will help formulate policies to pursue for OICA and their team of advocates. A workshop on the legislative process will also be offered for those who are not familiar with the practice of how a bill becomes a law.

The Laura Choate Resilience Award will be presented over the lunch hour, along with a presentation from an expert on a selected topic championed by the OICA.

The evening will conclude with a panel discussion and viewing of a child advocacy documentary sponsored by the Potts Family Foundation at the Oklahoma City Farmers Market!

Registration will begin on August 3rd for this conference.  Watch for further details!

Join us on November 2nd to make a difference in the lives of Oklahoma’s kids and be a part of the solution!
